Born Pretty Store Red Stamper Head Review

Hello loves and welcome back. You guys should know by now that I love stamping (I mean have you read my blog before lol) so I'm always excited when I get to try out new stampers. Today I have one for Born Pretty Store to share with you.
This stamper is Item #21739 and also comes in white. The red is a bit firmer where as the white is softer. The stamper head measures 4cm in diameter. It's about the size of the Creative Shop stamper. It also comes with a metal holder but it is very slippery so you gotta be careful when using this.

This was very slick and almost oily when I unpacked it so I had no choice but to wash it with some Dawn. Since this is how I normally prime stampers I was kinda hoping it would be good to go after that. Unfortunately it wouldn't  pick up anything, I tried stamping plates that I've used multiple times just to be sure it wasn't the plate. I then lightly buffed it, reawashed and tried again to no avail. I finally buffed it with a rougher file and washed it for a third time and finally got it to pick up. Even then it wouldn't pick up the greatest.

I can't really ever see myself using this for stamping (maybe in a pinch) but I did want to try it for marbling and I was very happy with the results. Becuse of it's large size I can get my whole nail at once and I seemed to get a better swirl of colors. I'm in love with this mani. I used Zoya Kristen, SinfulColors Enchanted and  Snow Me White.
I did stamp over it using this stamper but I can't seem to find those photos. It's entirely possible that I completely forgot to take any of the finished nails lol. I have a horrible memory.

While I can't really reccommend this for stamping I think it makes a great marbler. I'm gonna keep working with it and will be sure to update you guys if anything changes. I've also already ordered a replacement for the lost scraper so I'll be sure to let you know what I think of that when it arrives. What do you ladies think? Don't forget you can use the code PANW10 for 10% off your order. As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed.

Update 10/18/15: I have since been working with this stamper and have achieved much better results. For more info please view my update post here.

Update 10/22/16: I finally have the scraper to share with you! Its made from a very thin, flexible clear plastic and has the Born Pretty name and logo on it. I've used it a few times now and I'm really liking it. You don't need to apply pressure which did take a minute to adjust to. I've also cleaned it with acetone and the writing hasn't come off or faded.
