Adventures In Stamping: Easter Nails

Hello loves and welcome back. I have managed to participate in another week of the AIS challenge. This week the prompt was Easter nails and I honestly didn't realize just how close Easter was. This may be the only holiday nail art that I will do since I've got post lined up and some things on the way to review for you.

Hello loves and Happy Sunday. I'm back  with an Adventures in Stamping post. It's been a while since I've participated in the AIS weekly challenge. I always forget to check the prompt until it's too late, but this week I remembered! Now, I don't know what convinced me that it was a good idea to attempt full nail decals after only two successful outcomes at individual images, but here are my purple and orange full nail decals.

I'm really excited to share today's post with you all. A few months ago someone in the Adventures In Stamping group on FB posted a tutorial for the leadlighting technique. I thought it was pretty cool but not something that I was rushing to do. Then, a few weeks ago Copycat Claws shared a photo of some LL that she did using the OPI sheer tints over black. I was in love and that really made me want to try. So, I finally broke down and bought the sheer tints and I'm really glad I did.

Guess who finally made it back to participating in the weekly prompt for the Adventure In Stamping group, lol. I really have no excuse for not doing it recently other than letting other things get in the way. But I knew I had to participate this week since the prompt was "Musical Nails". I absolutely love music, all kinds! One of my favorite things atm is Classical Pop. Sounds weird right? But it's wonderful, I've been listening to the Classical Goes Pop channel on Pandora almost non-stop recently. I think that might have had a little influence over this mani...

AIS: Plate Ending With 2

This weeks prompt for Adventure in Stamping is to use a plate that ends in 2. I decided to use Pueen plate 32 and my base of Orly Miss Conduct since I was already wearing it.

 

AIS: 3 Purples

This week's AIS theme was to use three purples. Whenever the theme is to use multiples of the same color I always seem to go for a gradient. I've got to learn the get out of that habit though. It really should come as of no surprise that this week I again did a gradient.

This weeks AIS prompt was 'your favorite flower', mine has always been a hibiscus. I remember that it was the first flower that I just had to know the name of. Other than them and Wisteria I am not into flowers. Unfortunately I didn't have many hibiscus stamps to chose from :(

First of all let me apologize for my nails and cuticles. I filed my nails way too short and I hate the way they look. My cuticles are super dry, the winter is wreaking havoc on them. I've been oiling them nightly and lotioning multiple times a day but I may need to oil twice a day. I wasn't gonna post today but I just couldn't pass this weeks AIS theme up since I have been loving animal print so much.

Looks who's back to participating! LOL Sorta seems like fate that this weeks theme was using three blues since I had already planned on something like this since I saw a mani my wifey did last week. And, it should come as no surprise that I went with a gradient ;)

Tonight post is a late, late one for me and I hope I can get it in under the wire. I usually like to get the AIS prompts done on Wednesday but this week's wasn't done until 7 this morning. And I really didn't have the drive to edit pics and post but I knew I had to do it. This week's prompt was I'm in the Mood For ___, and I've been craving warm weather and bright sun. I'm so over fall/winter already and it just started.

This weeks Adventures in Stamping  theme is to use a plate ending in one. I decided to use a polish I recently picked up called Broadway Nails Easter Annie for the base and stamp using something besides black or white. I told you guys I would get there eventually. lol

Yay it's Sunday! Or as I like to refer to it: TV Night lol. Everyone who knows me knows not to call between 8-10. Anyway, onto what you came here for. This weeks theme for AIS was over a holo base. I realized that I only have two linear holos and they are both black so it would have to be a scattered for me. I chose to use Daring Digits Amethyst and amp it up with a coat of Northern Lights. Please forgive these pictures, it's been cloudy out so I had to use the flash.

I'm very excited to be writing today's post. A while ago I found the Adventures In Stamping group on Facebook and I just had to join. It's a great place if you love to stamp. There is always something new happening, whether it be new plates or stamping polish or just advice being shared. I also hear that they do great group buys. But my favorite is the weekly stamping challenge. Everyone gets to vote and then you post your manis on Sunday. I have been meaning to participate ever since I joined but I can never seem to get it together. That's why I'm so excited that I actually manage to get it done this week!
