Twinkie Nail Art Challenge August Week 3: Favorite Indie

*Some of the products in this post were provided to me by the company in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own. For more info you can view my disclosure policy here.*

This week's Twinkie Nail Art Challenge prompt was "My Favorite Indie". I'm not sure if they meant brand or just polish but either way my favorite indie is Spellbound Nails. I've said it before and will say it again, not only is Ashley wonderful but she makes awesome polishes! If you haven't tried her brand before I urge you to. I'm sure you'll find something that you'll love. This week I decided to go with another gradient using Life of the Party (press sample) and Leave the Brakes On.
I'm not sure a gradient was the best idea as my colors didn't blend well, probably because they are different finishes. I think it also would have looked cool as a saran wrap mani. Maybe I'll try that again later. This does look cool in the dark since LotP is a gitd polish.

Since the gradient wasn't the best I decided to finish it off with some stamping. I used Winstonia plate W216 for this swirly pattern. I think they kinda look like some crazy Lisa Frank candies lol. And placing these suckers on straight was no joke lol. Overall though, I liked how they turned out.

You may have noticed that my watermark looks a little weird. I recently switched over to using gimp for editing and I'm still getting the hang of it.These were the first photos I edited using it so you kinda gotta overlook them. I'll get better at it, I promise :)

What do you ladies think? I'm enjoying participating in this challenge and I'm a little sad to know that we only have two more weeks left. Anyone have any recommendations for other weekly challenges? As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed :)
