Twinkie Nail Art Challenge August Week 1: Throwback Mani

It's been a while since I participated in a nail art challenge, and when I saw the Twinkie Nail Art Challenge shared the other day I decided to give it a go. It's only one prompt a week all during August, on Fridays, and is being hosted by polishedbybeckie and spilledmilknails on Instagram. The first prompt was Throwback mani, and while most people would have recreated something I went in a different direction.

I've been wanting to create a mani inspired by the neon craze of the 80s for a while and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.  I used plate QA66 from Born Pretty Srore and Spellbound Nails Brights collection (press samples) along with the Advanced Stamping technique by NailStamp4Fun to create this look. I probably should have used something besides the polish brush to fill in the design, but you live and learn. Please excuse my pinkie, I quickly learned that a firmer stamper works best with this technique.
