A few weeks ago I was contacted by KKCenterHK asking if I would like to review some of their products. Now I will be honest in that before this I had never really heard of them, so I googled for a bit and saw that they seemed legit. I chose to review two of their stamping plates and they also sent a stamper/scraper set.
First I'd like to talk about the packaging. I love how it came in individual sort of zip-lock like bags. These are very convenient if, like me you don't have many plates, and don't have a fancy storing case. I also think that it kept them well secured and safe during shipping. The plates did come with the standard blue covering but these photos are from after use. They do not have any type of backing so be careful when handling them, but to me that's not much of a big deal.
So, let's move onto the plates. First up I have plate QA8 to show you. The item number is SPPQA08 and can be found by clicking the link. It retails for $5.05. It includes some Hello Kitty designs, bows, bears and some dots (which I chose to use)
For this look I used a base of Cutie Girl Wild Orchid and stamped with Flirt White and the polka dots. It appears to be etched nicely and I had no trouble picking up the whole image. The only thing I didn't like is the size of the dots, I wish they were slightly bigger. I do think that it will make a great template for those who have trouble getting symmetrical dots, such as myself.
The smearing is my fault. I thought the white would be dry but I should have waited a bit longer before I topcoated. Ooops :) LOL
Next we have plate QA4, item number SPPQA04. You can click the link to be taken the item page.It also retails for $5.05 and consists of a few animal prints, skulls, a checker pattern and some flowers.
I chose to use the zebra pattern and a base of SC Last Chance and stamped with Essie No Place Like Chrome. Just like the other plate all the etching seems nice and I didn't have any trouble with missing parts of the image. I recently came to the conclusion that I love animal print (yea yea I'm late the party) so I love this one. In fact, if you can only pick up one of these I would go with this one.
As for the stamper (I forgot to photograph it alone, sorry) I found it to be firm yet squishy. Sort of in between the Salon Express, which is way too firm for me, and the Flirt one which is a little squishier. I think I like the Flirt one just a little better, but it's nice to have this one as a back-up. I don't think you can ever have too many stampers lol. I didn't care for the plastic scraper, I feel it leaves too much polish behind. I'll just stick to using my old gift card.
Overall, I am really pleased with each of the products and I would recommend that you check them out. KKCenterHK also carries lots of other nail related products (among other things) so be sure to check them out. They have some great, affordable products and they ship worldwide.
