Adventures In Stamping: Over a Holo

Hello ladies, I hope you are all having a great day.

*The products in this post were purchased by me. As always, all opinions are my own. For more info, you can view my disclosure policy here.*

Yay it's Sunday! Or as I like to refer to it: TV Night lol. Everyone who knows me knows not to call between 8-10. Anyway, onto what you came here for. This weeks theme for AIS was over a holo base. I realized that I only have two linear holos and they are both black so it would have to be a scattered for me. I chose to use Daring Digits Amethyst and amp it up with a coat of Northern Lights. Please forgive these pictures, it's been cloudy out so I had to use the flash.

I know what you're thinking that doesn't look like the real DD Amethyst. That's because mine changed colors. I contacted Ashley and she said she hadn't heard of anyone elses' do that and offered to replace it, but I actually like it better like this lol. It's thin so what you see if three coats with a coat of NL, and I might should have done a fourth. Luckily dry time was super fast. For the stamp I decided to use my Cheeky Jumbo 9 plate and the butterfly stamp.

I really need to get some more linear holos, or at least a holo topcoat. I've had one on my wish list forever, I just never got around to getting it. Overall I am very pleased with this turned out. I have yet to have any problems out of the Cheeky plates that I have. What do you ladies think? As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed :)

  2. That's such a delicate look. I don't like cheeky plates only because they are so darn big compared to the other brands and they are the only ones that don't fit in my plate holder! lol Also, I was really annoyed with the long shipping time and all the drama with their summer collection so I've just resolved not to buy from them again. I think my favorite plates have been my mash plates and I like winstonia too. We have lots of choices now. :)

    1. I hate that they are so much bigger but I do like the larger image sizes so I guess I'm sorta on an even keel with them. I guess I missed all the drama or have just forgotten about it (I have a terrible memory). I really want the mash plates but always pass on them for something else, I'll eventually get them though. I've heard such good things about them. I love the winstonia ones, I just need to use them more. I also need to learn to stamp in something besides black and white, but they're just so dang dependable.
