Hello loves, today's post features a technique that I first saw on at Nail Stamp 4 Fun's youtube. I tried it back during the summer and it came out a big muddled mess so I gave up. I tried again last night and I am very happy with the results. If you've never heard of/tried the baggie method then make sure to check out Swanette's tutorial.
To do this I started with a white base, I think I used WetnWild French White Creme. Once that was dry I added dots of the white, Zoya Eden (press sample) and SinfulColors 24/7 (press sample) onto a plastic bag. I then pressed my stamper into it and sorta rocked it a little. I then rolled it onto my nails making sure not to press too hard or else the polish would slide on the nail. You can go back over your nail until the polish is distributed how you like it. Give that a coupe minutes to dry and then add topcoat.
I was gonna stamp over this but I just couldn't bring myself to cover it. I just love the smokey effect it has and I bet it would look so nice in black and white. My favorite nails are the index and middle. What do you ladies think? As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed :)
Beautiful mani! I've done a mani like this but with black and white polish. I like it a lot better with the colors you chose. I wouldn't of stamped over it either.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I love saran wrap manis and it does kinda look like one. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's super easy and creates such cool outcomes. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jess :)
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so cute! I've tried it a couple times and yep... failed. You make me want to try again!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) You really should, it's so fun once it finally clicks lol.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done this technique in ages- I forgot how fun and easy it is!
ReplyDeleteThat looks gorgeous! I've never done this type of mani!
ReplyDeleteLove these! I totally understand what you mean about not being able to stamp over it lol. I did a distress mani with the intention of stamping, but changed my mind once I finished it :p
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Sometimes simple techniques like this just give the best results :)
ReplyDeletefun and easy, my favorite type of nail art lol
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Roselynn :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) They really do!
ReplyDeleteWow, that technique sounds interesting - I was always wondering when people would do blobs on their nails and then push down the bag, wouldn't your cuticles be covered in pooling polish? But this way you might have less excess polish to deal with!
ReplyDeleteI love this technique, it's so simple to do and one of my favs. :) Yours looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a much less messy technique, I need to try this! It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I need to do one of these soon! I just got some new cremes today soooo...I can definitely see it happening soon!
ReplyDeleteOh the mess! lol I still had a little pooling on my middle nail because one of my polish dots was huge but the rest of my nails weren't bad at all. Next time I'll use liquid latex so it should be super easy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Shelby. :)
