Zoya Matte Velvets Swatches and Review

*The products in this post were provided to me by the company in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own. For more info you can view my disclosure policy here.*

Today I have my swatches and review of the Zoya Matte Velvet collection to share with you. These are all re-issues of past colors but some of these are new to me. Please note that I already owned three of these and I swatched my old bottles (make sure you read all the way to the end of the post ;])

The formula and application were identical on all of these. They cover perfectly in two coats but make sure you the let the first coats dry before adding the second. As with most mattes they dry super fast so be careful not to over-work them.

First we have Savita: a "bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and gold shimmer". This was one of the shades that I already had (I won them last year) so you may remember seeing this before. This will always be one of my favorite purples. Two coats.
*I've heard the new version does have a skunky smell (I did open the new bottle to sniff test it and it did have a odor), but I'm told that the smell disappears once it is dry.

Next up, Veruschka: a "deep evergreen garnished with strong metallic shimmer". This and the next one are perfect for the holiday season. Two coats.

And Posh: a "medium cool-toned wine red with metallic red shimmer". I think this looks so good on my little nubs and I always wanna stamp a flannel pattern over it. Two coats.

And finally we get into the new to me shades, Loredana: a "medium gunmetal grey, packed with silvery shimmer". Is it just me or does anyone else think this looks like you colored your nails with a pencil? Not quite sure how I feel about this one yet. Two coats.

Harlow: a "rich, saturated rose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer". I was so excited when I saw this color in the press release, and I love it even more in person! Two coats.

And finally, Dovima: a "smoky charcoal-black with strong silver shimmer". I've wanted this for a while but I just didn't wanna pay "ebay prices" lol. This one did not disappoint, I love a matte black. This made a perfect base for my Monster Blood splatter. Two coats.

I am really happy that Zoya decided to re-release these colors, they are worth having if you like matte nail polish. Do you have a favorite? I really love Savita and I'm glad that Harlow and Dovima lived up to my expectations.

Since I did have three of these shades already I am giving away the bottles of Savita, Veruschka and Posh that Zoya sent to me. These are brand new and the only one that has been opened is Savita. This is USA only (sorry) and you must be 18 or older to enter. This will end at midnight on Sunday, October 19, 2014. You must reply within 24 hours or I will choose a new winner.
