This week's Twinkie Nail Art Challenge prompt was Valentine's Day. As much as I love VD nails art I'm pretty burnt out on hearts and pink, white and red combos. Luckily, after Saturday we can move onto the next holiday, and I can move on to practicing my water marbles lol. Oh yeah, those will be next weeks prompts :o Expect lots of fails!
I wanted to kinda step out of my comfort zone and do something other than cutesy, something sorta sexy. Although I guess you could call these cute too lol. It feels odd to refer to something other than a person as sexy.
For my base I went with this red Sally Girl snowman polish that I picked up in the December red tag clearance. It has a nice jelly base with lots of silver holo particles in it. I was expecting it to be a little thick but it applied very nicely, and I only needed two coats. Once that was dry I stamped with Konad Black Gold and Pueen plate 27. I was hoping the fishnet part of stamp would sex it up a little. I'm not sure how well that worked lol. I am impressed with how well those thin lines transferred though.
I'm sorry it's a little hard to see the stamp but the polish dried gritty and I ended up needing two coats of topcoat. Stupid glares! If you've been here a while then you know I'm not that big on reds but I really love this one. Holo glitters always make things better lol. What do you ladies think?
