Hello loves and welcome back. I finally have swatches of the Matte Velvet 2015 collection from Zoya to share with you. I don't really have anything else to say so let's just jump right in.

Some people have expressed that they have had an issue with these drying too quickly making them a little difficult to work with. I didn't experience that and found the formulas just as nice as the originals. Application was very smooth and two coats was all I needed for most of them.

Aspen: "a sparkling arctic white with micronized diamond pearl fleck". I was really excited for this one since it reminded me so much of Genesis. I was worried it would be a little streaky, but was good with two coats.

Sue: "a soft champagne gold with a multi-hued oyster shell pearl fleck." I really thought I was gonna hate this one; but I really liked it, especially with topcoat. Two coats.

Amal:"a classic crimson red with a ruby red pearl fleck." Ah, another red. I have nothing to say about this, good or bad. Two coats.

Honor: "a true emerald green with a tone on tone emerald pearl fleck." This one automatically makes me think of Christmas time and pine trees. Two coats.

Yves: "a deep sapphire that's midway in between indigo and royal blue with a blue pearl fleck." This one is gorgeous with topcoat and is perfect for the holiday season. Two coats.

Iris: "a deep amethyst with a fuchsia pearl fleck." I found this one a little on the thin side but it didn't create any issues. Two coats.

While theses are very nice polishes, and I do appreciate the addition of a white and blue shade, the majority are a little too close to the original collection to really wow me. There are plenty of comparison post out there and as far as I can tell there are no dead on dupes. I, and a few others, would appreciate some more light shades come spring. What do you ladies think? As always thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed :)
