Since I was already thinking about using the decals that I bought I went ahead and did it. I knew if I put it off it would likely never get done. I borrowed the idea of using a black texture from Erica's Nails and More and used these purple roses from bps.
I used three coats of Zoya Dahlia and applied using the same process as my last post. I normally only need two coats of the Zoya but I wasn't patient this time and had balding. It wasn't completely dry here, so you lose of the effect of the sparkles.
I was a little worried that they wouldn't stick very long without topcoat but I'm surprised and impressed that they are still there four days later. I will say though that they don't look too good now though. This is what they look like by day three:
I guess you could always put some topcoat on just the decals. The polish is holding up great though ;)
I really loved how this turned out and next time I will try the tc trick. Thanks to Erica for the idea :) What do you ladies think? Let me know. As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed :)
It looks so pretty! I just received some decals to try out for the first time so I'll be sure to topcoat them if I want them to last.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I've used them on others and they've lasted about 3-4 days with one coat of SV...I'm sure you probably won't need yours to last that long though lol
